THIS SECTION CONTAINS FORMS AND PROCEDURES THAT ARE REQUIRED TO DO BUSINESS
WITH THE REAL ESTATE DEPARTMENT.

(Note: All forms are saved in PDF format for optimum formatting and compatibility. If you receive an error when

The Reading & Northern is prepared to deal with all real estate issues in a timely and reasonable manner IF approached directly by the party with an interest and IF that party follows the procedures outlined on this website. However, if interested persons insist in bringing attorneys into the mix they will leave us no choice but to also hire counsel and the result will be delay and extra expense.

We believe there is nothing two reasonable people can’t solve if they talk to each other. Lawyers seldom solve issues, they just complicate things while running up fees.

The Reading & Northern does NOT ACCEPT CERTIFIED MAIL. All correspondence should be sent via regular US Mail.

NOTICE: As a result of the Pennsylvania Anthracite Coal and Marcellus Shale gas booms, we have a backlog of projects. All applicants should expect and plan for a 60 to 90 day review time. Should you wish to have your project be reviewed and processed in 14 days or less, please submit your initial project request form marked URGENT at the top of the page along with a check for $3,750 of which $750 is non-refundable. Please understand that many times, we receive very complex project requests, which cannot be reviewed within 14 days. Should your project be determined to be ineligible for URGENT handling, you will be refunded the $3,000 and notified that an expedited review cannot occur on your submission.
